As always, Sonic Electronix is proud to bring you guys the latest products and information on everything audio related. This week, we went to the NAMM 2014 show, otherwise known as the National Association of Music Merchants. The show was held at the Anaheim Convention Center and featured over five thousand music product brands! From headphones to all of the newest pro audio equipment, NAMM has it all. And we are excited to let you in on our favorite products from the show!

At the show, one of our favorite headphone companies, Audio Technica, showed off their four brand new models of M-Series professional monitor headphones to add to their product line. They are all set to be released this February. The top of the line model is the ATH-M50x and has the added feature of detachable cables. The contoured earcups seal tight for excellent sound isolation and the pro-grade materials are durable, yet comfortable.

The other three models are the ATH-M40x, ATH-M30x, and the ATH-M20x. The ATHM40x also features the detachable cables and are tuned flat for incredibly accurate audio monitoring across an extended frequency range. The ATH-M30x and ATH-M20x headphones are tuned for highly detailed audio, with strong mid-range definition, and are highly versatile monitoring headphones which are ideal for studio tracking and mixing.

Numark is another company who was at NAMM 2014 with a new product line of exceptional products. The most impressive product of their’s was the NS7II, a 4-channel DJ performance controller. It has 7″ motorized turntables with 3600 ticks of resolution. It features a capacitive touch-sensitive filter, gain EQ, and effects knobs. The crossfader is curve-adjustable, it includes Serato DJ software, and has a dedicated iZotope effects control. Numark also displayed their new line of MixTrack Series DJ controllers. This series includes four models, the MixTrack Quad, MixTrack Edge, MixTrack ProII, and the MixTrackII. The Quad is the top of the line model and features 4 channels of software control, touch-activated illuminated platters with customizable LED color coding. All four models include Serato DJ software as well as Prime Loops Remix Tool Kit, are USB powered, feature a thin design, have 16 dedicated effects controls, and have 16 backlit rubberized trigger pads with Loop, Sample, and Hot Cue Modes.

The last product that stood out to us at this year’s NAMM show were the Akai RPM Series studio monitors. The series includes the RPM 500 and RPM 800 and are bi-amplified with proximity control! They are built to handle critical detail, are painstakingly reinforced to minimize flex, and combat unwanted coloration while preventing sound artifacts from polluting your max. These professional grade monitors make reproducing specific bass patterns easy! The RPM 500 has 90 watts of Class A/B power with a 5″ woofer and 1-1/2″ silk dome tweeter. The RPM 800 has 120 watts of Class A/B power with a 8″ woofer and 1-1/2″ silk dome tweeter.

We are always proud to be the first to bring information on all the new products ya’ll are looking for! Remember to check out the new products coming soon in 2014! Until next time, see ya’ll later!
