I put a set of these in my access doors in my Frontier a few months ago and love them. I have the 6×9 version in the front doors and am powering them with an MTX 4 channel at 55×4. The mids and highs are crystal clear and smooth. I prefer the silk tweeter on these to other options that have a shrill or harsh sound to them. Can’t speak to the way they sound on deck power or the bass response as they are running on a high pass crossover through the amp. I highly recommend them and the combo pack with a set of these and a set of the 6x9s is what I did. Phenomenal package deal with the value of these speakers.

“full mids and highs” – ★★★★★
These three ways are solid, especially for the price. Mids and highs are perfect, not too pingy like mbquarts, but still full. I have yet to get distortion at high volumes so I feel they would do well in a component/amped setup. Can’t comment on their low-end response but specs say they can go pretty low. The packaging was protective and they came with plenty of speaker wire and mounting brackets. Overall awesome for any setup. I would recommend it to anyone looking for full-range door speakers.

I bought these for an old project car I was fixing up and the price was more of a concern than absolute sound quality. I picked these based on the reviews and the value. I had never heard of NVX but figured I would give them a shot. I must say I am pleasantly surprised by the tonal quality of these speakers. Especially at this price point, these speakers really deliver. Not overly bright and voices are clear and present. The bass response could be better, but then again I don’t have them in a sealed enclosure. I think most will be very happy with these, even compared with speakers costing double
