Uniden America Corporation is the North American subsidiary of the Japan based Uniden corporation which is known for manufacturing and marketing wireless consumer electronic products. Some of their products include cordless telephones, business telecommunications systems, BearTracker scanners, FRS/GMRS radios, marine radios and other wireless personal communications products. In this blog, I will be focusing more on the Radio/Police scanners since they have been a hot commodity of late.

Uniden BC340CRS

The Uniden BC340CRS is a clock radio base scanner with 100 channels in 10 different banks. This scanner allows you to easily enter and store frequencies from police, fire/emergency, marine, air, amateur, and other radio services. The BC340CRS also provides you with reception of audio TV channels 2-13, NOAA (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration) weather broadcasts, AM/FM radio, and is equipped with 30 radio presets. Another cool feature of this radio scanner is the built-in alarm clock with a snooze function, so not only can you use this device as a scanner, you can also use it as a handy clock radio.

Uniden BC346XT

Uniden’s BC346XT is a portable compact handheld scanner that comes equipped with 9000 dynamically allocated channels. This scanner is most popular amongst truckers because of its GPS compatibility controls. The BC346XT features Close Call RF Capture Technology that instantly tunes to signals from near-by transmitters. Another great feature that makes it popular with truckers is the S.A.M.E. (Specific Area Message Encoding) Weather Alert, this feature will alert you with severe conditions in your immediate area and keep you posted on what you’re driving yourself into. Some other cool features include fire tone-out, 100 quick key system access, search with scan, temporary lockout, and much more.

Uniden BCT8

The Uniden BearTracker BCT8 is a scanner with 250 user programmable memories that allow you to store your favorite frequencies for rapid recall. The BearTracker Warning System alerts you to activity on Highway Patrol link frequencies to let you know if there is activity within about 3 miles of your location, which can keep you out of a lot of tickets. One important convenience feature on this scanner is the Search Lockouts, this lets you lock out your least favorite frequencies so that when searching, you don’t have to go through all those boring ones you will never listen to.

Whether you’re sick of getting tickets, getting caught in bad weather, or just want to hear what kind of action law enforcement is getting themselves into, there is a Uniden Scanner just for you.
