When the LCD flat panel television set was introduced, it caused an incredible amount of hype around making your home more spacious, sleek, and open with these flat panel designs. After the purchase of the TV, came the decision to choose a wall mount from a large selection of different styles. Aside from just planting your flat screen on a television stand, you can choose between three different styles of wall mounts: full-motion, tilting, and fixed. Each mounting option comes with its pros and cons, but at least one always has that deal-breaking feature that is perfect for your home.

Full-Motion Wall Mount
These types of wall mounts allow the television to tilt up and down, as well as pan left and right. They can either be extended away from the wall or pushed closer to the wall. Full-motion, also known as articulating wall mounts, allow the perfect viewing angle in any room. Typically, full-motion wall mounts are most expensive out of the three types because of complex design and convenient features. Due to the moving pieces a full-motion wall mount contains, installation becomes a tad more difficult and may require more than just one person.  Because of the full-motion flexibility, glare is not an option when it comes to watching the game, a movie, or some television. Being able to adjust the flat panel further away from the wall allows more swivel motions on its horizontal axis as well as tilting the screen up or down adjusting to your viewing height.  If flexibility is the feature you’re looking for, be confident that the full-motion wall mounts will provide the ultimate viewing experience.

Tilting Wall Mount
Comparing the three designs of wall mounts, the tilting mount isn’t as sophisticated as the full-motion or not as simple as the fixed wall mount. Sunlight peeking through that blind-less window gets a little irritating if you have a television that you cannot adjust the angles on. Having a tilting wall mount makes things a lot easier when it comes to glare or unwanted reflections because it can easily be adjusted. With tilting wall mounts such as the Sanus Systems LT25, these mounts continue to have easy installation but are not as simple as the fixed wall mounts. All in all, the ease of having the tilting feature allows vertical adjustments to avoid the unwanted sunlight quickly and effortlessly.

Fixed Wall Mount
Searching for ways to get some extra floor space and mount your television at new heights, the fixed wall mount is the easiest of them all. Being the lowest in cost and simplest to install, fixed wall mounts such as the Planet 3 55264 provide a standard mounting option with a built-in “floating” appearance. Going with the least expensive option isn’t always the best. Apart from easy installation, these mounts don’t tilt, move or rotate the televisions position, adding a little more complication. When it comes to sitting lower towards the floor, viewing becomes difficult seeing as how you cannot adjust the televisions angle. Therefore, whether you’re on a tight budget or you just don’t want the extra features, the simple fixed wall mount could be a great addition to your entertainment center.
